Hello Peeps!!
For the last 28 days, I am writing about different dance forms. Starting from Indian folk to English country dance, #DanceKaPunchnama is all about dancing irrespective of religion and country.
Today is the last day and my letter for the Day is ‘Z’
Zumba dance is introduced by Colombian dancer and choreographer Alberto “Beto” Perez during the 1990s. It is a fitness program and the trademark owned by Zumba Fitness, LLC.
A research shows that approximately 15 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 200,000 locations across 180 countries.
How to perform this dance?
Zumba has a mixing of dance and aerobic movements and it is performed with energetic music always. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.Anyone from age 0 to 100 can participate in this form of aerobic exercise.
Instruments:
There are no such instruments; Zumba is performed with high energetic music.
Costumes:
The clothes should be cool, comfortable and at the same time stylish also. Some people choose head to toe Zumbawear while others opt for leggings, sweats, tees, and tanks. In Zumba, footwear plays the most important role. In Zumba classes you have jump, hop, twist and slide movements so select the shoe wisely.
