It was Wednesday, 24th Sept 2014, a day just after Mahalaya. My mom and dad, my MIL everyone were panicking, my hubby’s face was like; the doctor would take him to the OT, not me. But I was relaxed, cool and calm. I had no anxiety rather I was excited! I could hear my own heartbeat and yes it was beating fast. 🙂
It was 9.52 am in the morning and I heard his cry for the first time. The doctor said, ‘Lord Shiva has come to your place’ 🙂
As it was after Mahalaya and by that time, ‘Debi Pokkho’ had started already. Hence, we were expecting Ma Durga, but Ma had already sent his hubby to us. 🙂 🙂
We named him – ‘Rishaan’ that means a good human being and another name of Lord Shiva of course.
From that day, my motherhood journey has started. For me it was not an easy job at all. Life always brings new challenges to me and I know I can hit the six always. 🙂 🙂
In my life I have taken all the decisions in a fraction of second. At the age of 25, I went to my dad and said, ‘I have to marry now’. At 26, I became a mother. So things were fast and I didn’t take much time though these were the most important decisions of my life.
Should I sing that song –
‘Main aisa kyun hoon,
Main jaisa hoon main waisa kyun hoon’
Trust me, if I start telling you my life story, it will be a hit Bollywood movie for sure.
But now life is different. I think twice before taking a decision. Now at the weekends, I spend my time with my son especially. I don’t react on everything now. I am trying to remove my ‘short-tempered’ tag. And I know patience is the only key to handle his tantrum.
Mickey, my son is turning 4 today and I want all your blessings for him. 🙂
So today I would like to promise few things to him. I know now he is too small to understand all these but when he will grow up, I will share it with him.
My First Promise: I will never tell you lies. Because I believe things can be explained in a different way. We don’t need to hide things from our kids.
My 2nd Promise: I will guide you to take your own decisions. I am living a life by my own T&C so I want same for you also. You may fall but that will help you to rise again.
My 3rd Promise: I will never interfere in your life. Everyone needs privacy and we should understand that. Kids need the parents most but when they grow up they have their own life. As a parent what we can do is to support them, motivate them and encourage them to do well in life.
My 4th Promise: I will help you to fulfill your dream. You don’t have to run in the rat race. Follow your passion and make it your profession. You will be the happiest person then.
My 5th Promise: The most important Mantra of life is to be a good human being. Be kind, be honest and be humble. Do good with others and help people always. I will try to give you the best life lessons.
So today, we have planned for a small celebration! I will share the pics with you all. 🙂
