Deepika belongs to the Saraswat Brahmin community from Karnataka and her mother tongue is Konkani. Ranveer Singh belongs from a Sindhi family.

They tied the knot in two traditionally ceremonies – Konkani and Sindhi
The Konkani wedding took place on 14th Nov at Villa del Balbianello which was all decked up with white roses for the occasion.
Deepika was dressed in a red and golden lehenga with heavy pieces of jewelry while Ranveer arrived under a white brocade umbrella wearing milky white ensemble with zari border.
White golden was the theme for that day.
After Konkani wedding, the couple repeated their wedding vows in Sindhi style as well. During, Anand Karaj ceremony DeepVeer dressed traditionally in red and golden attires. Here Ranveer made a grand entry with baaraati in a yacht.

They have performed all the rituals with full of joy and glee.
Udida Muhurat
It is an important ritual of Konkani wedding where bride and grrom together grind black gram or udidu in a stone grinder. Here the bride learns how to grind udidu and in that way enters in to the home and kitche. The groom takes part to show that he will be there to help for household duties.
Tilak Ceremony
It is another important ritual of hindu wedding where bride and groom both putting tilak on each other’s forhead.
Even the star couple enjoyed all the post-wedding games together.
