We’ve all suffered from those itchy, white flakes at some point or the other. For some of us, it’s even a constant source of worry. Dandruff could be caused due to a number of reasons. It could be a symptom of stress, unhealthy eating habits, or could just be a product of an oily scalp. Irrespective of what causes dandruff, following these simple home remedies for dandruff will have you saying goodbye to it in no time:
Tea Tree Oil:
This is your ultimate answer to the question, “How to remove dandruff?” Tea tree oil has been forever in use for treating all sorts of skin conditions, ranging from psoriasis to acne. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties significantly help in reducing dandruff and give you the much-needed relief. Just apply tea tree oil to your scalp an hour before you wash your hair and you can instantly see results. You can also mix a few drops of tea tree oil in your shampoo if you’re in a rush. However, do note that tea tree oil may cause irritation to sensitive areas of the scalp. So, you can also mix it with your usual oil to abate irritation.
Aloe Vera Gel:
Aloe vera has antibacterial properties that help it fight fungal infections such as dandruff. This is probably the reason why aloe vera is used extensively in various ointments and cosmetic products. In addition to this, aloe vera is also found to be effective against several fungi species and thus may be helpful in controlling fungal infections that cause hair loss from the scalp. Applying aloe vera gel to your scalp and then rinsing off using a mild shampoo will give you measurable results. For best results, you can also collect aloe gel directly from the plant in your garden since you will get it in the most organic form.

Apple Cider Vinegar:
The mildly acidic nature of apple cider vinegar has made it an effective remedy for treating a variety of ailments, including dandruff. It helps to balance the pH level of the skin on your scalp, while also getting rid of the fungal infection that causes dandruff. There are two ways in which you can use apple cider vinegar for dandruff removal. You can either mix a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your shampoo or can mix it with water and spray it on your hair for quick results.
Aspirin:
Aspirin has one very important compound that makes it an effective remedy for fighting dandruff – salicylic acid. Its anti-inflammatory nature has also made it an active ingredient in many anti-dandruff shampoos. Salicylic helps a great deal in removing the flaky nature of skin while also helping to loosen flakes so that they can be easily washed out. You can crush two tablets of aspirin and then add it to your shampoo to stave off dandruff
While there are many causes of dandruff, there are as many remedies to control it as well. Use these home remedies to kick dandruff out of your hair and flaunt those amazing tresses without any anxiety.
