Jamai 2.0
A much awaited spin off of Jamai Raja aired on Zee TV – Jamai 2.0 is edgy romantic thriller starring the reprising stunning duo Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma, along with the super talented Achint Kaur.
The web series starts off with Ravi as Siddharth Sharma aka Sid who is a standup comedian at a night club in Pondicherry, owned by Durga Devi aka DD Patel played by Achint Kaur. In the beginning we can fathom he has joined the club to get closed to DD, but as it turns out he wants to destroy her. Nia as Roshni plays DD’s daughter. She is confused, searching for love, and not a big fan of her mother, which makes Roshni a pawn in Sid’s plan to get to DD. But things get even messier when Sid falls in love with Roshni.

Fittrat
Apart from a strong, entertaining storyline – perfect for the millennial audience – Fittrat is making waves for its glamour quotient and soulful music.
Created by Ekta Kapoor for ALTBalaji, Fittrat is loosely based on the ‘90s classic movie ‘Pretty Woman’.
The show revolves around the gold medalist journalist Tarini Bist played by Krystle D Souza. She hails from a poor background, but seeks to receive all the luxuries of the world. To achieve her goal she sets out to marry a rich guy and settle down on the security of easy money. As the first step of her quest she heads to Delhi and here enter her uber-rich BFF Amy played by Anushka Ranjan. With an aim to find the wealthiest husband Tarini hooks up with Amy’s brother Bunty played by Aru K Verma, but the fate plays its twist when Amy’s fiancé Veer played by Aditya Seal enters into the picture. He falls head over heels for Tarini and becomes obsessed to get her by any means.
This leads to a misunderstanding between Tarini and Amy and our protagonist stands all alone – shattered and her heart broken. But eventually she pulls herself up and decides to be her own savior. She realizes the gold she was trying to dig someplace else was there inside her all along. Fittrat is a story of Tarini knowing her inner strength and becoming the best version of herself.
All in all, these two web shows are entertaining, thought provoking, full of Bollywood style slick cinematography, gripping storylines and crisp star cast that make them a must-watch during this lockdown period.
